&lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Gionnino9000&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/em&gt; is the team I took part in the &lt;strong&gt;Tablut Challenge 2022&lt;/strong&gt; with, a competition organized for the &lt;a href="https://www.unibo.it/it/didattica/insegnamenti/insegnamento/2021/468002"&gt;Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence M&lt;/a&gt; course at Alma Mater Studiorum, University of Bologna. Our agent — an AI player capable of playing the board game &lt;em&gt;Tablut&lt;/em&gt; — is called &lt;strong&gt;Tavoletta&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The rules are the interesting part of a competition like this one: your agent connects to a server running the game engine, and it has &lt;strong&gt;one minute per move&lt;/strong&gt;. Not one minute of thinking on your gaming rig, either: everything runs on a virtual machine with 4 CPUs, 8 GB of RAM, no GPU and no internet connection. &lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;strong&gt;WasteService&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/em&gt; is a distributed software system implementing a &lt;strong&gt;differentiated waste disposal service&lt;/strong&gt;. It&amp;rsquo;s made of several application components, designed to run on nodes with heterogeneous architectures: a mobile device, a Raspberry Pi and headless nodes.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I developed it with my university colleagues &lt;a href="https://github.com/trykatchup"&gt;TryKatChup&lt;/a&gt; and &lt;a href="https://github.com/Clappy98"&gt;Raffaele Battipaglia&lt;/a&gt; for the &lt;a href="https://www.unibo.it/en/teaching/course-unit-catalogue/course-unit/2021/468003"&gt;Software Systems Engineering M&lt;/a&gt; course at Alma Mater Studiorum, University of Bologna, following the &lt;a href="https://www.scrum.org/resources/what-is-scrum"&gt;SCRUM agile framework&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;h3 id="the-goal"&gt;The Goal&lt;/h3&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The point of the course was to simulate the commission of a software system to an agile SCRUM team. &lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;strong&gt;ROQuiz&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/em&gt; is a cross-platform quiz application I developed to help me and my colleagues study the theory for the course &lt;a href="https://www.unibo.it/it/studiare/insegnamenti-competenze-trasversali-moocs/insegnamenti/insegnamento/2021/467997"&gt;Operational Research M&lt;/a&gt;, at Alma Mater Studiorum, University of Bologna.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I wrote the first version in Java/JavaFX in about half a day, a few days before the exam. Once I passed it, I rewrote the whole thing in Dart, using it as an excuse to learn mobile development with Flutter. Since then the project has slowly turned into a small community effort: other students opened issues and pull requests with bug fixes and new questions, and the question pool grew from the ~90 questions I started with to the &lt;strong&gt;119&lt;/strong&gt; currently shipped with the app.&lt;/p&gt;</description></item></channel></rss>
